Foundation Italian I-II: Beginner Italian I-II: Spring-Summer 2010
Foundation Italian I-II is a beginner class setting the foundation of the Italian language in easy steps. Students will learn how to express increasingly complex sentences and build vocabulary in a relaxed atmosphere which emphasizes learning in a natural, participatory, stress-free way.
We will study the main structures of a sentence and learn funtamental grammar rules, such as: pronunciation, pronouns, regular and irregular verbs in the present, future and past tenses, simple negations, gender of nouns and adjectives, plural, articles etc. All students will have a chance to practice speaking and creating sentences that will become more complex as they progress in their study.
At the end of this 10 week cycle the students will have learned how to express greetings and introductions, order food, carry out dialogues about travel and every day situatios such as: shopping, asking for directions, etc.
We will also introduce audio material for listening comprehension exercises.
10 sessions for a total of 15 hours, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM on following Mondays from May 10th to July 26th (No class on Mond. May 31st and July 5th):
